The Minneola is a type of tangelo, which is a cross between a tangerine and a grapefruit. This combination has created a sweet, tangy citrus with a bright orange color and a long neck.

Uses:
Avoid cooking tangelos, as they lose much of their flavor this way. Instead, stick to enjoying tangelos fresh out of hand, or add sectioned pieces to salads and desserts.

Selection & Storage:
Choose tangelos that are heavy for their size to ensure juiciness. Skins should be smooth and blemish-free, but should give to slight pressure. Tangelos will keep at room temperature for about 1 week; refrigerated fruit will last 2 weeks.
