Clementines are a variety of citrus called mandarins.
Clementines are small, bright in color, and have a thin, easy-to-peel
‘zipper’ skin. They are very sweet, tangy, and juicy. |
Uses:
Clementines are best eaten as a quick, healthy, out-of-hand snack.
Their sweet taste and beautiful color also make them a great addition
to desserts and salads. Avoid boiling Clementines, as they will
loose flavor.
Selection & Storage:
Choose Clementines that are plump and heavy for their size. Skins
should be glossy, soft and smooth, but firm to the touch. Refrigerated
Clementines will last up to 1 week.
